Welcome to Hale Moi where just about every one of our Princeville Kauai Condo Rentals has a front row seat to gaze at the Hanalei mountain range. These A & B side condos give owners several configurations to offer vacation renters. You can rent the studio side, the 1 br side or both depending on how the owner is using the space. Many Airbnb hosts will live in one side and rent the other so make sure you check and see just what space you are renting while here on Kauai. Hale Moi was built in 1980 and consists of 10 buildings that are 2 story with a total of 40 units. Read on to learn more about the beautiful Hale Moi Condos!

There’s no pool at the Hale Moi Condos, but it’s pretty close to Hideaways beach and St. Regis beach where you can take a swim. If you are feeling adventurous you can navigate the steep, rocky path to the Queen’s Bath, a series of large permanent tide pools full of marine life. Caution is advised as ocean conditions are unpredictable, and this is a “you’re on your own” adventure with no lifeguards onsite. Still, when the tide is down and the waves are calm, this is a magical experience for the entire family.
Other excellent swimming beaches are just a short drive away. Our favorites are Anini Beach which has nearly 2 miles of shallow water protected by a barrier reef that dampens the incoming waves. Perfect for young kids and adults alike, the swimming here is almost always perfectly calm. Similarly, Hanalei Bay offers sheltered water and large expanses of sand and shade, perfect for a family beach outing. Make a day of it and then take in the majestic sunset over the mountains from the Hanalei Pier. For dinner, try one of the many fantastic eateries in Hanalei, from cozy cafes to world-class fine dining.
If you are interested in beautiful photo ops and incredible scenery, the beaches west of Hanalei are not always good for swimming, but they pack a visual punch. The soft sand of Lumahai Beach is a stark contrast to the crinkled peaks of the Na Pali Coast, but it is an excellent place to watch the huge winter waves. Makua Beach offers excellent snorkeling under the right conditions (usually summertime), and Haena and Ke`e Beaches are always worth a stop as you head to the beginning of the Kalalau Trail and the world famous Na Pali Coast.
No matter how much of the trail you hike – it is steep from the get go, spans 22 miles, and requires a usage permit after the first 2 miles – it is well worth a visit. A common itinerary is hiking the first two miles (there are several ups and downs as the trail serpentines over the jagged ridges, but it is less severe than the later legs) and enjoying the first beach. From there, head inland for another 2 miles to a secluded waterfall, or turn around and head back to your car and your home away from home in your Hale Moi vacation rental.
If you didn’t get dinner during your daily adventures, you can always prepare a feast here at Hale Moi. For your convenience there are bbq’s and a recreation area. Hale Moi is our top pick for a studio vacation rental in Princeville if you can find availability.
These Kauai, Hawaii vacation rentals are very popular because travelers feel they are a great value and the mountain views are just as mesmerizing as the ocean views. You’re also only 10-15 minutes away by car from Hanalei Bay, Ke’e Beach or Anini to the south.
